Serif and Sans Serif


Serif means a Small decorative lines at the end  of characters.

There are two  categories of fonts:
                                 1.Serif 
                                 2.Sans Serif
1.Serif font:
 A font that contains serifs.The most common Serif type face is TimesNewRoman.
Example:   


Examples on Serif Font:
 Times New Roman,Bodoni MT,Garmond,Engravers MT, Mono type Corsiva

2.Sans(without) Serif:
 A font that do not use Serifs, small lines at the ends of character. Sans Serif fonts are easy to read.

 Arial, Calibri,Calibri Light, Consolas, Century Gothic.
